A private road winds you through forested land and over meandering streams and eventually opens up to a glorious custom built post and beam farmhouse set on a hillside overlooking an expansive valley and gorgeous skyline.

Explore the trails throughout this 30 acre property, make your way down to the swimming pond with dock and take a refreshing dip. Simply the BEST way to cool off on a hot summer's day.

Enjoy morning coffee in your PJ's lounging on the wrap-around porch...it's okay...there's no-one here but you! Let your creative juices flow...sketch or paint the inspiring scene before you, journal about your stay, read that beckoning book, WRITE that book, bask in the sun, take in the starlit sky where there are no lights competing with their brilliant glow.

This three bedroom 2 bath farmhouse sleeps 5 guests. The first level contains your country kitchen which offers all of today's modern amenities, and everything you need to prepare a special meal for friends and family. The kitchen opens to a spacious dining room. Further into the house you'll find a large living room with plenty of windows to let in the views and light. A colorful floral sofa opens to a queen bed with memory foam mattress . The centerpiece of this lovely space is a wood burning fireplace with custom stone hearth. A full bath rounds out the first floor.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. Two queens with plush bedding, desk space, and dressers (the master has a TV). The third bedroom has a twin bed and dresser. There is a full bath on the second level with clawfoot tub and shower head.

Our driveway offers plenty of on-site parking. We have WIFI and cable although occasionally the wifi is spotty which is part of the country living in this area. Several rooms have window AC, but we think you will be pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of refreshing country breezes from an open window.

Feeling social? Head to town and into one of Cherry Valley's fine eateries where you are sure to find the friendliest folks around. Visit our many art galleries and museums. We are located only 20 minutes from Cooperstown and its numerous attractions and about 15 minutes to the Glimmerglass Festival; our very own world class opera house.

We welcome you to our little haven and think you will love it as we do. We like to remind guests that you are in the country and we share this land with lots of critters. While we strive to keep the interior space sparkling clean and pest free, it is possible that you will encounter an uninvited guest. We appreciate you understanding that this occasionally comes with the territory.

Tucked away on a private road in the quaint, small town of Cherry Valley, you can hike or snowshoe from the front door, enjoy fine dining in nearby restaurants, or take in the sights in the neighboring historic villages of Cooperstown and Sharon Springs.

We offer reservations for Summer, Fall and Winter. Leaf -peepers...you will love this spectacular setting. Winter outdoor enthusiasts? Bring those XC skis and snow shoes along. You'll love exploring our trails!
